Privacy Policy

NurseryLog is built to keep your family's information private. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with your data.
This Privacy Policy describes how GALAXYWAY AI LTD (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the NurseryLog mobile application (the “App”) and the website at https://nurserylog.galaxyway.ai (the “Site”). NurseryLog is a local-first baby tracker: it is designed to work without an account and without sending your baby's records to our servers.
The short version
- We do not require an account, email address, or password to use the App.
- Your baby-care records are stored on your device, in a local database. We do not operate a server that collects them.
- We do not use advertising, analytics SDKs, or third-party trackers in the App.
- Backups, exported PDFs, and any optional device-to-device sync happen only when you choose to start them.
Information stored on your device
When you use the App, the information you enter — such as baby profiles (name, birth date, sex, photo, colour), feeding, sleep, diaper, pumping and medication logs, growth measurements, milestones, vaccine records, appointments, questions, notes, documents, reminders, and app settings — is stored locally on your device. This information stays under your control on the device and is not transmitted to us.
Information we collect
We do not collect personal information about you or your child through the App. The App contains no analytics, advertising, attribution, or tracking technologies, and does not assign you an advertising identifier.
If you contact us by email, we will receive the information you choose to include (such as your email address and the contents of your message) so that we can respond. We use that information only to handle your enquiry.
Device permissions
The App may ask for certain device permissions. Each is optional, used only for the stated purpose, and processed on your device:
- Notifications — to show local reminders you create (for feeds, pumping, medication times, or appointments). Reminders are scheduled locally on your device; we do not use push servers or collect push tokens.
- Camera & Photos — only if you choose to attach a photo to a baby profile, note, or document. Images are saved in the App's local storage.
- Face ID / Touch ID / device passcode — only if you enable the optional privacy lock. Biometric authentication is handled by your operating system; we never receive your biometric data.
- Apple Health (HealthKit) — only if you choose to sync growth measurements. Data is exchanged between the App and the Health app on your device under your control. We do not receive it, and we do not use Health data for advertising or share it with third parties.
Optional iCloud sync
If you enable optional sync, the App uses Apple's iCloud/CloudKit to copy your data into your own private iCloud account so it can appear on your other devices. In this case your data is stored and transmitted by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We do not have access to your iCloud private database, and we do not receive a copy of your data. Sync is off unless you turn it on.
Exports and backups
The App can generate a pediatrician summary PDF and a full backup file (a zip archive that may include attached photos). These files are created only when you ask, and are saved or shared using the options your device provides (for example, Files, AirDrop, or another app you pick). A backup or PDF may contain sensitive details about your baby and your family, so please store and share it carefully. We never upload these files automatically.
Children's privacy
NurseryLog is a tool for parents and caregivers. It is intended for use by adults and is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The records you keep about your child are stored on your device under your control; we do not collect them.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
We do not include analytics or advertising SDKs in the App, and we do not track you across apps or websites. The App's privacy manifest declares that it does not use data for tracking.
The website
The Site is informational. It does not require an account. If we use a privacy-respecting hosting provider's standard server logs for security and reliability, those logs are not used to build profiles of you or for advertising.
Security
Because your data lives on your device, its security is closely tied to your device's security. We recommend using a device passcode, keeping your operating system up to date, and enabling the App's optional privacy lock. No method of electronic storage is perfectly secure, but keeping data local removes the risk of a central server breach exposing your family's records.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because the App does not send your records to us, you can exercise most of these rights directly on your device — by viewing, editing, exporting, or deleting your data, or by uninstalling the App, which removes its local data. International users
The App processes your data on your device wherever you are located. If you enable optional iCloud sync, Apple may process your data in accordance with its own policies and infrastructure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
